            MySQL: foreign key constraint error message during import

            If a foreign key error is encountered during manual import of the database, it is as a result of the SQL file adding data to the tables in the wrong order. For example, when one has projects and activities, an activity cannot be imported until its associated project has already been imported.

            is to add the following to the SQL as it is being exported from the old database.
            1. SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 0;
            2. -- declare tables
            3. SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS = 1;

            Screen shots for how to do this using phpMyAdmin are below.

            Step 1: Select Custom

            Step 2: Select Disable foreign key checks

            Step 3: Do the data export at your old site and import to Convesio as usual.
